Anthony Nolan - The Hero Project
The Hero Project educates 16-18 year olds about how they can save a life through stem cell, blood and organ donation
Anthony Nolan is the charity that matches incredible individuals who are willing to donate stem cells with people in need of life-saving transplants. The Hero Project is our education programme, teaching 16-18 year olds and stem cell, blood and organ donation. We deliver sessions in sixth forms, colleges and youth organisations. Our goal is to make young people aware that they have the potential to save a life and to encourage them to consider the information they have heard and make an informed choice about whether to join a donor register. We hold follow-up events to enable those who wish to join the Anthony Nolan stem cell register to do so. We also operate an ambassador programme, giving young people the chance to build skills and confidence while supporting Anthony Nolan's lifesaving work.
