Work-based Learning and Placements
Many of our programmes offer Work-based Learning (WBL). This means as part of your degree you could go out on placement (working in a company), work on live client briefs, take part in an internship or get paid work. These experiences enable you to put what you’ve learnt into practice and gain practical skills, great for your CV.
Developing Skills
Developing the skills you need to get you ready to join the world of work after you graduate is so important. That’s why employability, the skills and abilities that allows you to get paid employment, is embedded into our curriculum.
All students have access to LinkedIn Learning, an online library with thousands of training videos and courses which can help boost your skills in preparation for work.
Northampton Employment Promise
If you’ve done everything you can but still haven’t found work 12 months after graduating, we’ll secure you a three-six month paid internship or support you into postgraduate study.
Student Futures
Student Futures creates the space for students to explore social innovation, develop new ideas, gain valuable work experience, meet employers, explore the changing world of work and prepares students for life after University.
